9:40 a.m.: Scott: “Crowds waiting to get inside the park (the Ellipse) were wrapped up the street to the Washington Monument, then across the park, and down the other side of the street, and across the block.

9:15 a.m.: The event appears to have begun with prayers, the Pledge of Allegiance, and, of course, the national anthem.

7:45 a.m. A street full of flags as Washington begins to get busy.
7:15 a.m.Trump supporters are on their way to the Ellipse. Plenty of flags flying in front of the Washington Monument.
Scott: “Vendors are getting set up, Jehovah witnesses are unpacking their wares, and the people are marching towards the ellipse.”

Mayor Muriel Bowser has called in the National Guard to keep order (something she failed to do when Black Lives Matter groups and Antifa were protesting), and attendees have been warned that if they carry firearms, they will be arrested.
