President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani has intrigued both the Intelligence Community and lawmakers by announcing that he has a Dead Man Switch set up in case he mysteriously disappears. He stated that he has files covering 40 years relating to Biden’s monetization of his position and that if something should happen to him, these files will automatically become public.

Whether this is bluff and bluster or a deadly serious threat remains to be seen. However, instead of sparking interest in what compromising material Giuliani may possess, the media has seized on a rather unique angle: they seem to think that this insurance policy relates to danger from President Donald Trump.
Despite Giuliani’s protestations, it is the supposed threat from Trump that is fast becoming the dominant narrative.
Making Things Clear
The former mayor, perhaps in an effort to shift a narrative he sees as twisted, tweeted out that:
“The statement I’ve made several times of having an insurance policy, if thrown under bus, is sarcastic & relates to the files in my safe about the Biden Family’s 4 decade monetizing of his office.
If I disappear, it will appear immediately along with my RICO chart.”
When questioned on Fox News, he stressed that his personal relationship with the president was on steady ground:
“I have a very good relationship with him, and all of these comments, which are totally insulting… I’ve seen things written like he’s going to throw me under the bus. When they say that, I say – he isn’t, but I have insurance. It’s ridiculous! We’re very good friends.”
Chilling
It’s difficult to see how much clearer Giuliani could be in where he believes the threat lies. He said,” I expected, the moment I heard Biden’s name, I told my colleagues, they’re going to try to kill me.” This was coming from a man who in his role as mayor stood up to the actual Mafia should give any serious-minded folk pause for thought.

The Clinton family has long been the subject of memes and theories regarding those who get on the wrong side of the Dynasty-that-never-was; to date, the Bidens have not had a “Body Count” ledger named after them. Is it possible that whether Giuliani’s claims are true or not, that we may be seeing the birth of a Biden Body Count movement?
Legality?
Giuliani is not a man known to bluff. As mayor, he was regarded by all sides of the political divide as a tough operator. If he says he has dirt, this signifies two important things. The first, that House Democrats overseeing the impeachment inquiry will need to take this situation very seriously. The second, that if the “Kompromat” exists, then President Trump was almost certainly not engaging in a Quid Pro Quo with the Ukrainian government for personal gain … he would have had access to basic dirt anyway.
Will Adam Schiff (D-CA) take note of recent polling, which suggests most Americans would like to see the Bidens under scrutiny during this investigation? Will the Committee demand that Giuliani hand over any materials he may have related to the corruption at Burisma? Or will Democrats hope this all goes away, ignore Giuliani’s threats, and continue to shape the narrative that there was only ever one bad guy and that he must be removed from office?
