Ryan Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump has been found guilty on all counts. The jury deliberated for just two hours before returning a verdict.
The five charges included attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.
After the verdict was read, US marshalls had to step in as Routh appeared to try to stab himself with a pen.
Routh defended himself in court and introduced only three witnesses. He claimed that because he did not fire a shot, there was no attempted assassination. He is expected to appeal his conviction. Sentencing will follow on Dec.18, and Routh is facing a possible life sentence. Liberty Nation News will keep you updated.
