Are They Really Attempting to Out Trump Trump?

by | Apr 29, 2018 | Politics

It has finally dawned on critics and Never-Trumpers that the man has something going on that’s worth repeating.  Case in point, the media, and their hatred-driven anything goes, no-holds-barred attacks intended to blow up the duly elected presidency, are increasingly deployed with a reckless rapid-fire-style onslaught.  But why?

America is in the midst of a comeback; there is economic growth accompanied by consumer confidence, a healthy fear, and respect of this nation’s benevolent power, which if detractors would pull their collective heads out, would credit the end of the Korean Civil War and North Korea’s denuclearization.

It’s a rare and optimistic time.

But as we succeed as a country under this administration, the leftist media refuses to report positive, authentic news, and Democrats are behind curtains feverishly attempting another coup of the primary election process.  It’s a clear agenda, endorsed by Progressives and the Democrats, to unseat President Trump prior to 2020 by any means necessary; ruin the man with whatever can be used as the ends will justify the means.

How has this Become our America?

Bullying, crass candor, and the knack for assigning a nickname and having it stick helped propel Trump to the highest office in the land.  The savvy political plan was almost an afterthought.  Trump called out fake news stories, had the audacity to tell Mrs. Clinton to her face during their second debate that she “should be in jail,” and referred to his own primary opponents as elitist shills.

A veritable blast of fresh dragon breath, standing up for conservatives and middle America; a man for the people who yearned for their country’s resurrection.

But this brash and off-the-cuff style only works for The Donald.  And he only takes his rhetoric up to the line.  Whereas imitators, including polls and celebrities, step on, obliterate, and redraw the line as Victor Davis Hanson warns in his National Review piece:

“Each cycle of hysteria demands another, as the race to the bottom has descended into which celebrity or politician can discover the most provocative — or crude — Trump expletive. “S***” and “f***” are now the ordinary vocabulary of angry Democratic politicos and officeholders. The problem for Trump’s pop-culture foes is not whether to imagine or advocate killing the president. That’s a given. They just need to agree on the means of doing so: decapitation (Kathy Griffin), incineration (David Crosby), stabbing (the Shakespeare in the Park troupe), shooting (Snoop Dogg), explosives (Madonna), old-fashioned, Lincoln-style assassination (Johnny Depp), death by elevator (Kamala Harris), hanging (a CSU professor), or simple generic assassination (a Missouri state legislator).”

There’s no Lower to go

The leftist media is playing their own role in our new revolutionary style politics; they will resort to chasing every possible story that may add to the burgeoning drama of a Trump presidency.  We had a bevy of “potentials” crammed down America’s throat; nepotism with Kushner, collusion with Russia, obstruction of justice, and of course, what presidency is complete without a stripper claiming an affair?  As Hanson states:

“The media industry has gotten taken over by a noise industry in which the enormous financial incentives, ego incentives reward the discourse that doesn’t have much to do with getting to the truth or much to do with solving problems.”

As these “potentials” flame out one by one, the media resorts to reporting stories on what liberal television shows are airing and describing them as factual.  How have we allowed this behavior to become our normal?

We have entered an age where news is fictional entertainment, and dramatic television is reporting their own brand of news for us to digest.  The leftists have managed to batter and beat the 1st Amendment into something almost unrecognizable.  A travesty that we have allowed.  But maybe they will realize before all respect is gone, that no one is going to beat-down Trump.  Not even those who are poorly attempting to mimic his tried and true tactics.
