It seems Antifa is having difficulty knowing who to beat to a pulp. So, when in doubt, they pick up a baseball bat and crack some heads. Indeed, a graphic and disturbing story from Portland, Oregon shows a Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton voter being beaten by black-clad Antifa ghouls, demanding he put down the “symbol of fascism” – Old Glory.

True Story

This event is not a Netflix original. It is a true story.

And here’s how it went down: Earlier this month progressive Portlander Paul Welsh headed for the Tom McCall Waterfront Park to take a stand against a conservative rally. Welsh said his purpose was to oppose the “fascist event.” But he made a fatal mistake. He chose to carry a symbol that Antifa hate – yes, that would be the American flag. “I had felt like showing that a liberal, free Portland – or any major city, really – is much more American and much more numerous and strong than any of these interloping groups,” he told The Oregonian.

Welsh was soon surrounded by several Antifa protesters, who insisted he drop the flag.  A non-friendly tug-of-war followed. Unable to get their way, Antifa did what they always do – resort to violence. Indeed, defying Antifa orders left Welsh on the ground, in a pool of his own blood, after his head was smashed in by a baseball bat-style weapon. The Portland man recalled, “My bones turned to Jell-O, and I just went down.” Welsh was hospitalized for two days after Portland doctors stapled up the three-inch head wound.

Such friendly folks, the Antifa.

Jackie Robinson Day

Traditionally Major League Baseball honors the great Jackie Robinson every April 15^th. In doing so, every player in the major leagues wears number 42 on their jersey to celebrate his contribution to the game. It’s one of those days when you can’t tell the players without a scorecard. This appears to be the situation for Antifa. They are clueless about who is who, so they reach under their black robes, pull out their weapons of choice, and begin beating whosoever they desire.

Their inability to apply critical thinking and resort to violence should leave these hooligans embarrassed, to say the least. Welsh was trying to make a higher point, which Antifa seems unable to comprehend.

“The right and certainly a lot of smaller groups like Patriot Prayer might rush to things like the flag and try to take it up as, ‘This is our symbol exclusively. Part of my thinking was to take it back.”

More than merely shamed, the weapon-wielding thugs need to be prosecuted for their actions. But that’s no simple task when they are all dressed in black with their faces covered. It’s time for an all-out war against members of this political movement. These militant far-left communists and socialists need the heavy hand of justice to set them on their heels.

Harassing and bludgeoning anyone who they identify as fascists is not free speech; it is a form of criminal behavior. Everyone who carries an American flag is not a fascist, Republican, or Nazi. Everyone who refuses to be separated from something they are carrying by force should not have their head cracked open and land in the hospital.

But perhaps there is some upside to this heinous act. Since the attack, Mr. Welsh says he’s “conflicted and disappointed.”

You’d think after being beaten into submission and having your head cracked open, he might be more than a bit conflicted. But hey, it’s a step in the right direction.
