Americans Beginning to Notice Media Malpractice

It's painfully obvious the mainstream media is focused on fringe issues like Jan. 6 instead of Biden’s multiple crises like immigration and inflation.

Each week Liberty Nation straps on its Personal Protective Equipment and dives into the TwitterZone to bring you the biggest news, the most outlandish arguments, and the real Zeitgeist of what is taking place in the internet’s wildest frontier.

The mainstream media of late have been highlighting the Republican power shift in Congress, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s antics, and the national split on mask-wearing. But more critical topics — such as the gas shortages plaguing the East Coast, the escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas, the dismal jobs report numbers, rising inflation, and too many Americans’ continued dependence on unemployment pay — represent real kitchen table issues. Now, all varieties of social media have begun to point out how the mainstream media have failed to chronicle the Biden administration’s policy failures to the public. Largely gone are mentions of the ongoing border crisis, the looming economic catastrophe the country may face with out-of-control government spending, and the administration’s weak stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

This points to a significant problem in the media’s coverage of political conflict over the last five years. The demonization of political opposition is nothing new, but now it seems false reporting in the name of social justice has become routine. The New York Times has just admitted that its coverage, and that of its media allies, on the Steele dossier was based on a web of lies. That dossier was the origin of years of investigations and commissions determined to prove a link between Donald Trump and the Russian government. The media’s insular focus on this conspiracy was its defining characteristic for more than three years, crowding out most of any positive coverage of the economic boom Trump fostered from 2017 to early 2020.

This failure in honest reporting continues to this day. It’s clear the media know that the Biden administration’s actions and rhetoric are causing obvious and consequential problems in the country, but they are unwilling to report on them. Instead, they focus on fringe conspiracies regarding the 2020 election and portray Republicans as hellbent on destroying democracy. Although a few outlets’ mea culpas have seeped through quietly, any mention of the media’s dishonest reporting for political purposes, like the investigation surrounding the Steele dossier, is waved away as anti-democratic attacks on the freedom of the press.

Reporting on the truth about the fault lines in the Biden administration has become politically inconvenient, with the host of problems facing the country under its new leadership. Thankfully, Americans are starting to see past the ruse being reported to them and experiencing the radical changes and economic hardships that are hitting their families and their communities.
