A top Democratic National Committee lawyer was feeding former FBI General Counsel James Baker information in 2016. The news is more than just another nail in the coffin of the flailing Trump-Russia probe, it is fresh confirmation of a shocking and unprecedented joint effort by the DNC and hostile Deep State forces to use federal power to subvert the will of the people.
Baker, who had close ties to former FBI director James Comey, was provided information on alleged “Russian hacking” by flagrantly partisan DNC lawyer Michael Sussmann, Fox News reported. Sussmann’s law firm, Perkins Coie, played a key role in the production of the infamous and discredited Trump Dossier put together by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. Fusion GPS, an opposition research firm hired by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, funded Steele’s sleazy dossier.
Orchestrated Attack
Amazingly, the FBI used the material spoon-fed to Baker by Sussmann to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page without telling the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court how it had acquired the information, investigative journalist Sara Carter reports.
“There’s no way the FBI could have not known it was Perkins Coie being paid by the DNC and Clinton campaign but failed to disclose the information to the FISA courts,” a source “familiar with the investigation,” told Carter.
At the same time that Sussmann was meeting with Baker, he was also leaking the information to complicit media figures. Their “reporting” was thus able to advance the hoped-for narrative that there was real substance to the investigation, and that the government needed to dig deeper.
Which basically means that Democrats, the Deep State FBI, and a biased media were all working together to try to destroy the candidacy and later presidency of a political figure elected by the American people. Isn’t this what Trump was saying all along?
High Corruption
“Seems like the Department of Justice (and FBI) had a program to keep Donald Trump from becoming President,” Trump tweeted on Aug. 12 as news of Obama administration associate deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr’s sordid involvement with the thoroughly tainted Russia probe was revealed.
Ohr, the fourth-highest-ranking official in former president Barack Obama’s Department of Justice, met repeatedly with Trump Dossier author Steele and passed the Hillary-campaign-funded material on to the FBI. Ohr’s wife Nellie, incredibly, was working for Fusion GPS at this time. Now we have a second account of direct Democrat-FBI complicity.
The Sussmann revelations merely confirm what should have already been obvious in light of the Steele and Ohr sagas. The FBI, motivated by its own personal animus towards a presidential candidate who vowed to dismantle the corruption in Washington, D.C. perpetrated by powerful government officials both elected and unelected, actively worked with Democrats to help launch a partisan investigation against Trump.
“This is a bombshell that unequivocally shows the real collusion was between the FBI and Donald Trump’s opposition – the DNC, Hillary and a Trump-hating British intel officer – to hijack the election, rather than some conspiracy between [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and Trump,” a source told The Hill’s John Solomon.
It is not enough for the ridiculous Robert Mueller probe of fictitious Trump-Russia ties to end – now. A threshold appears to have been met for Congress to thoroughly investigate the FBI for high crimes against the American people. And as that investigation winds its way through the fetid swamp of Washington corruption, a question needs to be put before Barack Obama: What did the president know and when did he know it?
