Biden’s UN Ambassador Plans to Continue Obama’s Apology Tour

This country has paid and continues to pay her civil rights dues.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield is Joe Biden’s ambassador to the United Nations. And she has the pedigree to validate that appointment. In the Obama administration, she served as assistant secretary of state for African Affairs, ambassador to Liberia, and a host of foreign postings, including Switzerland, Pakistan, Kenya, and Jamaica, among others. Thomas-Greenfield has the stones for the U.N. appointment. This week, however, she regressed to employing uneducated and propagandized talking points — common in the Biden administration.

Speaking to the Al Sharpton founded civil rights group, National News Network, Madam Ambassador shared her goal in rejoining the U.N. Human Rights Council. How hard can that be? Having been on the council until Trump ungraciously exited, it should be a simple thing to show up at the next meeting. But, no, Thomas-Greenfield had to make a stink and declared the U.S. should take responsibility and “acknowledge that we are an imperfect union and have been since the beginning.” The Founding Fathers probably felt a twinge of disappointment at the slam on this revered document.

It Gets Better

The term she used, “imperfect,” led to a ranting fit for a professional victim of racism. Following her definition, “the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy” into this nation’s “founding documents and principles.” To back up the claims, Thomas-Greenfield began to list the names of other victims: Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and so on.

To rejoin this exclusive club – the U.N. Human Rights Council – America must grovel to the likes of other clubbers — Pakistan, Somalia, Qatar, Cuba, Venezuela, Sudan, and Libya – all paragons of humane societies and equal opportunity outposts for all. Oh wait, that would describe Canada or Switzerland and maybe even America.

Hillel Neuer, executive director of U.N. Watch, said when Venezuela was admitted: “Electing the oppressive Venezuelan regime of Nicolás Maduro to a human rights council is like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief. It’s absurd, immoral, and offensive.” What else is offensive? Having this new U.N. Ambassador say America must kiss the behinds of other nations and beg forgiveness for our slave-owning past. But, how come this U.N. member, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, is a country with at least 500,000 slaves – right now. Today. Slaves. And we know they won’t kiss anyone’s behind for their way of life.  Maybe behead a critic – but no butt-kissing.

A More Perfect Union

[memberzone align=”left”] Gouverneur Morris, known as the Penman of the Constitution, and the other Founding Fathers were attempting to bring a better life – without tyranny – to those who would embrace freedom and work diligently to protect the dreams of the ideal set in motion in 1787. They did not claim the union would be perfect – only that they would fight to form a “more perfect” union. And they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

For the ambassador to mock this nation and claim it needs to apologize to a joke of a human rights council is beyond disgusting. This nation needs to apologize to no one. We all have gotten this far together with the same blood, sweat, and tears of all creeds and colors. We have learned from the past and have made great strides to improve upon this nation, “conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” Words from the battlefield of one of the bloodiest skirmishes of the Civil War – where 23,049 soldiers fought for their beliefs and the freedom of black Americans.

This country has paid and continues to pay her civil rights dues. Would Madam Secretary like to join in the continual building of the nation and stop dragging her down and contributing to the increasing divide? Just a thought.
