Latest Medical News on Trump

Here are the facts as they currently stand on Saturday morning, October 3.

Liberty Nation has provided an additional update on the president’s condition since this article was published earlier today. We will continue to provide news of how Mr. Trump is doing as and when the situation changes.

President Trump has been admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following his positive COVID-19 test. According to the White House, this is merely being done out of “an abundance of caution.” Before leaving for the hospital, the president addressed the nation in a short video, saying:

“I want to thank everyone for the tremendous support. I’m going to Walter Reed hospital. I think I’m doing very well, but we’re going to make sure that things work out. The First Lady is doing very well. So, thank you very much. I appreciate it; I will never forget. Thank you.”

He then walked to Marine One, smiling and giving his traditional thumbs-up to waiting reporters.

Latest Reports

The White House reports that President Trump is in good spirits and that his symptoms remain mild. Other reports suggest that he is suffering from light fatigue and a mild fever. Eric Trump said that his father is “a true warrior,” and that, “He will fight through this with the same strength and conviction that he uses to fight for America each and every day… I ask you to join me in praying for his recovery. I have never been more proud of someone and what they have had to endure.”

The president’s physician, Sen P. Conley, sought to calm immediate reactions, writing:

“As a precautionary measure he received a single 8 gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail. He completed the infusion without incident … In addition to the polyclonal antibodies, the President has been taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin … As of this afternoon the President remains fatigued but in good spirits. He’s being evaluated by a team of experts, and together we’ll be making recommendations to the President and First Lady in regards to next best steps.”

Dr. Conley put out a further update Friday evening:

Kayleigh McEnany, the White House press secretary, said in a statement:

“President Trump remains in good spirits, has mild symptoms, and has been working throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts, the President will be working from the presidential offices at Walter Reed for the next few days. President Trump appreciates the outpouring of support for both he and the First Lady.”

Outcomes?

The media is abuzz with speculation over what this means for the president’s ability to do his job and for the upcoming election, but as Liberty Nation’s Leesa K. Donner writes:

“President Trump has always self-styled as a warrior – a fighter who does not give up. Should the president come out on the other side of this virus rather quickly and with few symptoms, it will signal strength, not weakness. Indeed, should he be able to take the stage for the second debate, it will illustrate his moxie. Rugged toughness is not only admired by Americans but is often rewarded.”

Liberty Nation will be following the president’s status closely and will keep you updated as events transpire.
