Illegals Crime Report: Kidnapper, Child-Rapist Finally Sentenced

Previously released twice from jail, a Honduran national is convicted of kidnapping.

Editor’s Note – The Illegals Crime Report looks at crimes reported in the United States at the hands of those listed as illegal or undocumented.

Week of June 19-27

Two more illegal immigrants and violent offenders have been convicted and sentenced – and will spend a long time, perhaps even life, behind bars. Despite local law enforcement releasing one of these individuals not once, but twice, after committing vicious crimes – even though ICE had placed detainers on him.

On June 23, Luis Pineda-Anchecta, 38, was found guilty of the violent kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend. The Honduran national and an unidentified person, on May 21, 2019, accosted the victim – identified only as F.M. – as she was walking to her vehicle, which was parked at the Charlotte, NC, apartment complex where she lived. Even though the assailants wore masks, she was able to identify Pineda-Anchecta before he grabbed her by the arm, stuffed a cloth in her mouth, and wrapped a rope around her head to keep the face-covering in place. She was forced into the passenger seat of a vehicle.

The police complaint alleged Pineda-Anchecta told the victim, “I love you, and I’m going to kill you,” then drove her onto Lancaster Highway. The other suspect did not go with them. F.M. was restricted from moving by the tight grip he had on the rope that encircled the plastic covering her face. He drove a short distance, then pulled off the side of the road and, maintaining his grip on the rope, dragged her towards a wooded area.

F.M. struggled and was able to escape. She ran into the middle of the highway where motorists stop to help her.

Previously Deported Violent Criminal Released Twice

This terrifying event would never have taken place had local authorities not released Pineda-Anchecta without notifying ICE. A few days before the kidnapping, the Honduran was arrested and released twice.

On May 15, 2019, Pineda-Anchecta was arrested on numerous serious charges, including assault on a female, assault by strangulation, communicating threats, and violation of a protection order. It only took law enforcement two days to release him despite the seriousness of the charges. If that wasn’t bad enough, he was arrested and rereleased after a standoff with the SWAT team. Finally, he was arrested and taken into custody in January and is facing up to life in prison.

Child Rapist Sentenced to 25 Years

Passaic County, NJ. Two years ago, on August 10, 2018, Elias Cano, 24, was arrested for raping a nine-year-old girl. He was the child’s babysitter and had taken advantage of the arrangement. The young victim had testified during the trial, and then as Passaic County Superior Court Judge Sohail Mohammed sentenced her assailant, she (now 11 years old) and her family watched on closed-circuit television.

Justice was finally served in October 2019 when Cano was was convicted by a jury on two counts of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment. On June 11, 2020, Cano was sentenced to 25 years in prison, with no possibility of parole.

Tune in next week for more on the illegals crime report.
