Trump Weekly Report: Just The Facts – 12.15.19

The words and deeds of President Trump, without the spin.

Editor’s Note: Everyone’s got an opinion, but who has the facts? At LibertyNation.com, we like to say, “Truth is Making a Comeback because Facts Matter.” So, each week, our editorial staff combs through the noise to bring you the highlights of what the president did and said.

December 08 – President Trump spoke at the Israeli American Council National Summit 2019 in Hollywood, FL Sunday. He deviated slightly from the usual introductory greetings and thanks to express his support for the victims of the “evil and barbaric attack at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL.” He went on to talk about peace-loving nations working together to build a future of greater security, prosperity, and hope. On the topic of finally achieving peace between Israel and Palestine, he said that “if Jared Kushner can’t do it, it can’t be done.”

December 09 – The president had a busy Monday. He attended a roundtable on empowering families with education choice and delivered a proclamation for Human Rights Day, Bill of Rights Day, and Human Rights Week 2019, Mr. Trump also sent three nominations to the Senate – J.Brett Blanton of Virginia for Architect of the Capitol, Finch Fulton of Alabama for Assistant Secretary of Transportation, and James E. McPherson of Virginia for Under Secretary of the Army.

December 10 – President Trump scored a win Tuesday, as Democrats signed off on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). The president had a Tuesday night rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, but before leaving for the rally on Marine One, he remarked on USMCA to reporters. “I call that the ‘silver lining’ to impeachment,” Mr. Trump said. “Because without the impeachment, they would never have approved it, in my opinion. The impeachment is the reason they approved it.”

December 11 – The biggest White House news for Wednesday was the presentation and signing of an Executive Order (EO) combating anti-Semitism. The president held a Hanukkah reception in the East Room, where he gave a speech and presented the EO. The order calls for enforcement of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 specifically relating to anti-Semitism.

December 12 – On Thursday, President Trump announced a Presidential Delegation to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the World War II Battle of the Bulge 75th Anniversary Commemoration on December 16. Mr. Trump also gave remarks at the White House Summit on Child Care and Paid Leave as well as at the 2019 Congressional Ball. In addition, he signed into law a total of five bills, each one changing the official designations of a USPS facility.

December 13 – President Trump met Friday with President Mario Abdo Benitez of Paraguay. The two leaders gave a joint statement, in which they extolled democracy in Latin America. They promised support for Interim President Juan Guaido of Venezuela and Interim President Jeanine Anez of Bolivia. Mr. Trump also sent a letter to Congress regarding the USMCA and signed seven bills renaming government facilities across the nation, but the big news was trade with China. The president announced Friday that the U.S. and China had finally hammered out the phase one trade deal so long in the works, making a fairly strong end to the week.
