In the long-lost halcyon days when arguments were judged on merit, interested parties would structure their views based on ideas, analogy, and persuasive concepts. And there are still a few brave wordsmiths who can construct an argument so compelling that we are often stunned into reconsidering what we once thought. This article is not about those noble souls.
Liberty Nation has trawled the minefield of the internet to find some of the most poorly made arguments we could find. The criteria being that the protagonist appears calm, the topic is of interest to many, and that the creator has a fairly large following.
It will come as no surprise to many that the poorest examples of reasoned argument came from left-leaning content creators addressing issues that are at all levels political and social matters.
The videos presented below suffer from various maladies including analogies that don’t work, flawed premises from the start, and a complete misunderstanding of the opposite sides’ point of view.
Unfortunately, these intrepid explorers into the realms of idiocy are shaping the ideas and arguments of the next generation. We can only hope that these fools and charlatans are exposed for what they truly are.
