Illegals Crime Report: Crimes Against Women

Another week of sexual violence from illegal immigrants.

Editor’s Note – The Illegals Crime Report looks at crimes committed in the United States at the hands of those who shouldn’t be in the country.

Week of April 10 – 16

Robbery and Rape

On Jan. 3, 22-year-old Elmer Jose Mejia Guardado was arrested for allegedly committing a string of armed robberies of Latino businesses in Durham, Orange, and Wake counties in North Carolina. He was charged with 11 counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, seven counts of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and now, a new charge of felony statutory rape of a child.

The rape charge was added earlier this month after the Durham County Sheriff’s department received an allegation from a mother that her young daughter had been sexually assaulted by the defendant. According to investigators, Guardado and the teen met online and then an in-person meeting was scheduled, during which he had sexual intercourse with the victim.

Guardado is being held on a $1,445,000 bond in the Durham County Detention Center.

Twice Deported Gang Member Rapes Barely Conscious Woman

Jose Lopez-Gonzalez, 35, a member of the dangerous MS-13 gang, was arrested after he allegedly raped a woman who was too inebriated to defend herself. According to reports, the suspect assaulted the victim under a stairwell where passersby could easily see in Wheaton, MD. Witnesses said they could hear the woman begging him to stop and shouting “no!”

The suspect, an illegal immigrant who had already been deported twice, had to be physically removed from the female by police when they arrived at the scene. “Lopez-Gonzalez was on the top of [the victim] who was naked from the waist down,” the police report states. “[The officer] advised that he initially yelled at Lopez-Gonzalez to get off [the victim] but that he had to physically pull him off her because he was still engaging in sexual intercourse.”

The victim was taken unresponsive to Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center. DNA evidence was collected, and a blood test showed the woman had a blood alcohol concentration of .352, which was likely why she could not fight off her attacker.

Lopez-Gonzalez said he knew the victim was drunk, that he could take advantage of the situation because the woman would likely not remember being raped. The charging documents said the suspect “advised that [the victim] trusted him to take care of her because she had a lot to drink at the bar. Lopez-Gonzalez advised that [the victim] was so intoxicated after leaving the bar that she fell down three times and he had to help her up.”

Lopez-Gonzalez was deported in 2007 and again in 2019. He has been charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault. If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison. Currently, he is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on an ICE detainer.

Tune in next week for more on the Illegals Crime Report.
