Humor: Whistleblower’s Identity Revealed

Come on, it should be obvious by now.

The identity of the whistleblower who exposed President Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian president and triggered his impeachment has been some kind of mystery, huh? Heck, even the very head of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff (D-CA), says he doesn’t know who it is.

Well, he may not. But I do.

Just follow the money or, in this case, the equivalent Washington currency, politics. All you need to ask is who would ultimately benefit from such a revelation? The obvious answer, of course, is the Democrats. But hold on just a moment.

Let’s follow the thinking of the whistleblower: OK, I’ll start by revealing a conversation that can be made to look like Trump is conducting a shakedown of this new young Zelensky fellow. That will start an investigation, and, with Democrats chomping at the bit to finally, finally pull the trigger on impeachment, this could get it done.

So House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and company will demand impeachment the moment they hear about my existence — before they even start hearings. But, wait, how about Trump releasing the transcript of the call himself the day after the whistleblower report comes out. What would the Democrats do then? They’ve already called for impeachment.

Well, they won’t be able to turn back. They will be forced to go through with it. But will the public believe that Trump is trying to hide something if the country can now see the conversation in print? Nevertheless, this will be the Dems’ big chance, their last, before the 2020 election.

They will impeach, despite the virtual certainty that no Republicans will go along with the scheme. They are so delirious with hatred for Trump that they will overlook the fact of a Senate trial, loaded with Republicans calling the shots, that follows.

And, oh my, the GOP will turn the whole thing around and make the Democrats look like the bad guys for overreaching, and they might even bring up the little matter of that spying on the Trump campaign. This president won’t be convicted, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and company will have a field day unmasking one Democrat, um, indiscretion after another. In the run-up to a presidential election. This will make Trump voters cling to him more than ever and probably solidify the support of those “love the record, not the man” voters.

The whistleblower’s foresight was remarkable. All of that has happened — or will soon. So given this succession of events, who was the whistleblower? Well, isn’t it obvious by now?

I’ll give you a hint. He lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
