We head back to Florida (no big surprise) for the weird criminal news of the day. Over Thanksgiving, Cash’s Liquor Store in Fort Walton Beach was the scene of the crime when one opossum, probably to avoid her in-laws, broke in, knocked down a bottle of Bourbon, and drank herself stupid. Employees found the drunken marsupial and called in the experts, Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge, who swept her away to a 72-hour mandatory rehab that included flushing her system with a lot of non-alcoholic fluids. She sobered up in a few days and was released to wobble back to the woods and explain why she had bailed on the holiday. Her family refused to comment, but you can read her full story here.
