Google and Facebook Censor Black Conservatives

by | Sep 1, 2017 | Free Speech

In the beginning, Google and Facebook were just tools for searching, sharing, and communicating. They generally stayed out of politics and presented themselves as platforms for free speech. However, that slowly changed. People reported biased search results. YouTube, owned by Google, began demonetizing popular channels for not having “advertiser friendly” material, and strangely enough, these seemed to be mostly conservatives. Similar reports came from Facebook users. Eventually, the truth came out: Google and Facebook strive to suppress conservatives – especially black conservatives.

Suddenly it became abundantly clear that anti-free speech leftist activists had changed Google from a platform of free speech into a platform of censorship, and all in the name of fighting racism. Ironically, some of the people who have been censored and demonetized are successful black conservative entrepreneurs such as Alfonzo Rachel and Diamond and Silk.

Facebook Blocks Black Conservative

In an interview with NRA TV:

Host Bill Whittle: “Many of your friends hadn’t heard from you in a while, and it turned out that your videos had been suppressed by Facebook’s algorithm.”

Alfonzo Rachel: “I’ve got friends of me emailing me snapshots saying “dude, it’s not that we don’t want to share your videos, but we can’t because it has been deemed spam or sensitive material.”

YouTube Demonetizes Black Trump Supporters

NRA TV also interviewed Trump-supporters Diamond and Silk, who were demonetized by YouTube:

Diamond and Silk: “Youtube, even though as a social media site private entity, claim to be open to the public, and we checked that box of their terms and agreements, and though we are in good standing with Youtube, they still decided to deem our videos not suitable for all advertisers, and they fixed it so it can’t be reached by all our viewers. Even though they gave us the platform, we built our viewership one viewing at a time, so I think that it’s unfair, and unfortunate that they’re making their decision for the advertisers.”

Diamond and Silk are currently working on a lawsuit against YouTube. Their legal strategy is not clear yet, but one possible avenue is to sue YouTube for fraud or false advertisement. All the conservatives who have invested their time and energy in building these companies into what it is today would never have done so had they known the censor machines those services would become. In any case, these actions against successful black entrepreneurs show that Google and Facebook don’t care about fighting racism.
