White House Watch: Trump Pulls Ahead but It’s Tight

The presidential race is shaping up to be a squeaker, according to Rasmussen Reports.

All eyes are on the polls, whether one believes them or not. They have become the cocaine of American politics – sometimes altering reality, but an addiction that many cannot overcome. To that end, the White House Watch by Rasmussen, which began in earnest in July, has finally flipped.

To date, Mr. Biden has held the lead – sometimes commanding but lately fading. And now it appears President Trump has the edge 48% to 47%. This indicates a photo finish lies ahead if these numbers stay in place. But what if this data represents a trend for the president, that this could be the start of a Red Wave?

Last week Rasmussen’s White House Watch had Joe Biden leading 49% to 46%. The week before it was Biden 50% and Trump 45%. The final poll of September carrying over to October demonstrated a strong 12-point lead by the challenger – 52% to 40%.

This sea change could signify that either the voting public is fickle, or the people have not been willing to explicitly state their voting preference until now.

Any way you cut it, folks; this election is far from over. Remember to stay tuned to Liberty Nation for election coverage in the run-up to November 3.
