The March 25 Trump rallies in Huntington Beach, California devolved into violent chaos when liberal protesters attacked the Trump supporters with pepper spray. The protesters attempted to break up the rally, but failed. Fox News and local affiliate ABC7 reported on the incident:

A scuffle broke out on a Southern California beach where President Donald Trump supporters were marching as counter-protesters doused organizers with pepper spray, authorities said Saturday.

The violence erupted when the march of about 2,000 people at Bolsa Chica State Beach reached a group of about 30 counter-protesters, some of whom began spraying the irritant, said Capt. Kevin Pearsall of the California State Parks Police.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of illegal use of pepper spray and a fourth person was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery, Pearsall said.

As if to transcend their already lofty heights of hypocrisy, the mainstream media have all either blamed Trump supporters for the scuffle or simply glossed over the fact that the leftist protesters Initiated the violence. Newsbusters notes:

According to ABC’s Good Morning America on Sunday, it would appear that the Trump supporters were to blame. “All this as tensions grow higher than ever been Trump supporters and protesters. The fresh violence at rallies. Protesters tackled and beaten,” claimed Paula Faris during the show’s opening tease.

ABC’s David Wright reported on the story with his typical leftist slant, as Newsbusters showed.

Reporter David Wright followed Farris’ lead and rambled on about the protesters. “In Ohio, California, And even the Jersey Shore, fistfights and mayhem at pro-Trump rallies, as protesters clash with supporters,” he reported as he played a clip of anti-Trump protesters chanting “No Trump. No KKK. No fascist USA.”

For Wright, it may only have “allegedly” happened, but according to Reuters, it did occur. “Four counter-protesters were arrested, three for illegal use of pepper spray and one for assault and battery, Kevin Pearsall, a spokesman for the California State Parks Police said on Saturday evening,” they reported on Sunday.

Perhaps the most notable difference with this particular incident is that the Trump supporters fought back this time, and several protesters were beaten when the Trump supporters defended themselves. Fortunately, the authorities were able to break up the melee before anyone was seriously injured or killed, but this incident and others like it represent the growing trend of dangerous and erratic behavior of the left. The leaders of the left have remained silent on the violence, and liberal demonstrators seem to be taking the silence as a sign of approval. Attacking peaceful gatherings of Trump supporters now appears to be an accepted method of furthering the liberal agenda, but the victims are quickly losing tolerance. As the aggression grows, so does the gulf between both sides. If the violent behavior is not corrected soon, the damage to our system of political discourse could be irreparable.
