President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter again to vent his frustration at the FBI. In a series of tweets yesterday the President said:
The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security “leakers” that have permeated our government for a long time. They can’t even find the leakers within the FBI itself. Classified information is being given to media that could have a devastating effect on U.S. FIND NOW
Trump is known to hit hard those he believes are working to undermine him and his administration. His aides, meanwhile, chose to “push back on news reports that his chief of staff asked the bureau to ‘knock down’ stories about investigations into possible contacts between Trump campaign associates and Russian officials,” according to Reuters.
This comes after two leftist cable networks – CNN and MSNBC – aired stories that indicated the FBI was pushing back and refusing to say that people associated with the Trump campaign didn’t contact officials of the Russian government.
As usual, the tube folks take their lead from print reporters and were parroting a story from that bastion of balance (sic) The New York Times saying the Trump campaign had “repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election.”
Politico reported:
A senior administration official said on Friday that FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe told [Chief of Staff Reince] Priebus at an unrelated morning meeting on Feb. 15 that the Times story was “bullshit.” Priebus asked what could be done and McCabe reportedly demurred, only to contact Priebus later to say the FBI could not publicly denounce the story, the official said.
This continual meme that Russia was essentially responsible for the election of Donald J. Trump has persisted within the mainstream media as if it were Watergate 2: Russian Style. Part of this may be the left simply unable believe they lost the November election fair and square. And this is primarily because the elite media is so insular that they don’t seem to know of anyone in their erudite world who voted for the President.
They are tone deaf.
Unfortunately, they have a big microphone and plenty of HTML to spill on a non-issue. State election officials have repeatedly said their voting tallies were on the up and up. But that doesn’t seem to stop the likes of the Gray Lady and the minions that follow her lead on the boob-tube.
Sooner or later these folks are going to have to accept reality and understand that millions of people voted for Trump because he forcefully – and sometimes crudely – said what the American people already knew.
If this country is in trouble, it’s not President Trump’s fault, and it’s not even the fault of those sneaky Russian actors. No, it’s our fault – for continuing to elect people who have done nothing more than drag this nation so far down the rat hole one can barely see daylight above.
With illegal immigration, health care that doesn’t work and joblessness from coast to coast — not to mention crime in the inner cities, this Republic that is America is in deep trouble. The people know this – now all that has to happen is for the leftist media to learn to listen and understand. By keeping up this narrative that Russia is behind the election of Trump, the media does nothing more than insult the intelligence of the American public who voted for him.
