Swamp Elites Toss Biden to the Wolves to Get Trump

Politicians who should most fear any foreign-money probe are leading the charge on Ukraine.

In its fury to destroy the hated Donald Trump, the Swamp is playing with fire – and we’re not talking a burning pile of leaves. A completely out-of-touch political elite is dancing in a six-alarm inferno and is apparently completely oblivious to the flames flickering all around.

There seems to be a narrative that already-tottering 2020 leading Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden may be sacrificed to take President Trump down. The airing of Hunter Biden’s controversial financial dealings in Ukraine and China may fatally harm the former vice president’s 2020 hopes, but that is a price Trump opponents are quite willing to pay to get at the White House. Or so the argument goes.

Are You Sure You Want to Do This?

Hunter and Joe Biden

But why would it stop at Biden? So many leading establishment political figures from the golden heyday of Swamp rule (1988-2016) have been tainted by the whiff of scandal involving dirty foreign money – especially Chinese money. If Trump and his tens of millions of supporters turn this latest impeachment crusade into a forum on foreign money influencing US politics, a lot of prominent Swamp figures are in big trouble. Yet by using Ukraine as a vehicle for their efforts, that is exactly the opportunity they are providing the president and his backers.

In 2013, Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter flew on Air Force Two to China. Ten days later, as Peter Schweizer reported in his 2018 book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends, Hunter Biden’s investment and advisory firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, snagged a $1.5 billion deal with a branch of the state-run Bank of China.

The name Rosemont comes from Rosemont Farm, the name of the ketchup titan Heinz family’s palatial estate in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. Christopher Heinz, stepson to former powerful senator and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, partnered with Hunter Biden in the firm. An excerpt from Schweizer’s book states:

“Over the next seven years, as both Joe Biden and John Kerry negotiated sensitive and high-stakes deals with foreign governments, Rosemont entities secured a series of exclusive deals often with those same foreign governments.”

Kerry has strongly denounced Trump over the Ukraine matter, saying the president is involved in a “continuing conspiracy” and is a threat to constitutional rule in the United States.

Senator Untouchable?

Then there’s Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who has still not been seriously investigated over the 2018 revelation that she had a Chinese spy working as a personal staffer for 20 years. Feinstein has seen her personal net worth soar to over $90 million since becoming a senator. Most of this is due to the business dealings of her husband, Richard C. Blum. Blum began heavily investing in China right around the time Feinstein became a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the 1990s. A 1997 Los Angeles Times article reveals his business dealings in China amounted to less than $500,000 in 1992 before skyrocketing to $150 million two years later. The 1997 Times article stated Feinstein had made three visits “since 1995” to meet with senior Chinese officials, including President Jiang Zemin, bringing her husband along each time.

Feinstein has vociferously attacked Trump as impeachment mania rages in the Dem ranks. In a startlingly brazen tweet, she called out the president for daring to level “baseless accusations” against Hunter Biden:

She has also demanded a “word-for-word” transcription of Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying Congress ” has a constitutional oversight duty” to uncover the facts.

Leading establishment Republicans from the recent past have much to fret about as well if the foreign money trail is ever fully investigated. Former president George W. Bush’s brother, Neil, contracted lucrative business dealings in China as his sibling was ensconced in the White House. Neil Bush struck a 2002 deal that would see him earn $2 million in stock to serve as a “consultant” for Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp., a Chinese firm tied to the son of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin. Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reports Neil Bush being asked in a 2013 divorce deposition, “You have absolutely no educational background in semiconductors do you?” “That’s correct,” Bush responded.

Neil Bush today is founder and chairman of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for US-China Relations. In a July speech in Hong Kong, Bush said, “China is not an economic enemy or existential national security threat to the United States … The demonization of China is being fueled by a rising nationalism in the US that is manifested in anti-immigrant, anti-Chinese, pro-America-first rhetoric,” the South China Morning Post reports.

Former Republican House speaker John Boehner now works for a lobbying firm that represents the Chinese government. A Squire Patton Boggs press release announcing his hiring in 2016 stated that Boehner would “serve as a strategic advisor to clients in the U.S. and abroad, and will focus on global business development.” Boehner was a noted advocate for improved relations with China during his years in Congress and was known for his strong support of granting Most Favored Nation trade status to the communist regime in the 1990s.

There are more names out there to be sure. By using Ukraine as a weapon against President Trump, the Swamp establishment that so despises him may be opening up a giant can of worms. This, of course, is just what millions of Trump voters had in mind when they elected the political outsider in 2016.

When the case of powerfully connected pedophile Jeffery Epstein was reignited in 2018, there was a widespread public clamor for a full probe into his elite friends. “Investigate them all, no matter what side of the political aisle they may be on, and let the chips fall where they may” was a popular rallying cry. If Trump can turn this latest hanging party against him into an unstoppable public uproar over foreign money buying US political influence, he will have performed one of the most important tasks of his anti-establishment presidency.
