One of the many duties of the First Lady is to usher in a design for the Christmas décor at the White House. Anyone who has been to America’s first home knows it is rather a humble abode by worldly standards. Versailles it is not.[perfectpullquote align=”right” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=”24″]… a fresh splash of style and beauty.[/perfectpullquote]
Still, Americans take great pride in the White House. Last year Mrs. Trump produced a spectacular display of lights during the holiday season, only to receive nasty reviews from the legacy media. But if you spoke to people who visited the president’s house over Christmas, they all said the same thing: The décor was a fresh splash of style and beauty.
Perhaps those negative reviews caused the First Lady to move in a different direction this year. “American Treasures honors the unique heritage of America,” according to the Office of the First Lady. The underlying décor theme is the spirit of patriotism (take that, Angela Merkel).
Here are a few highlights:
- The East Wing features trees decorated by Gold Star families who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
- The Vermeil Room includes two stunning trees done in “hues of blues and golds.”
- The Green Room includes fruits, vegetables, and such to remind Americans of our country’s bounty.
- The State Dining Room is filled with classic Americana, including the American eagle, the oak tree, and, of course, the American rose.
And so, Liberty Nation is proud to publish these pictures of the 2018 Christmas White House. We hope it will add to the joy of this holiday season for you and yours.
Liberty Nation wishes an early Merry Christmas to all our readers.
