How is President Trump doing so far?  One month into his Presidency, Trump has executed a myriad of controversial executive orders.

President Trump has become involved in a series of clashes with the establishment media.  The President has also found himself embroiled in a conflict with the Intelligence Community.  Americans have a broad range of opinions on the Trump presidency, and recent presidential polls show this.

Additionally, suspicion over his supposed ties to Russia has remained at the forefront of the establishment media’s coverage.  But what do the American people think?  Liberty Nation has compiled five recent political poll results that reflect the opinions of Americans during President Trump’s first month.

The Hill’s Unity Poll

The Hill reported that 73% of Americans would like to see the Democratic party collaborate with President Trump.  They favor a more bipartisan approach to governing.  However, the report also found that a majority of Democrats want the party to continue to oppose any action the President takes.

The Democratic party is in a quandary.  Do they listen to the rest of the country? Or do they continue to appease their base?  However, it is easy to see that the Democrats have made their decision.  They continue to use the strategy of obstructionism to hinder the policies of the Trump administration.

President Trump’s Approval Rating

The Rasmussen Report’s Daily Tracking Poll reveals that 51% of likely voters approve of President Trump’s job performance while 49% disapprove. The results were the same last week.

Other polls show President Trump’s approval ratings in the 40’s. On February 8th, the Daily Wire reported that the majority of Americans approve of President Trump’s executive orders.  Opinions on the Trump administration are still mixed one month into his presidency.

Trump More Trusted Than American Media

It is no surprise that Americans do not trust the establishment media — especially conservatives.   Over the past eight years, we saw the media worship former President Obama while ignoring his many failings.

Now, with President Trump in office, the establishment media has devoted their considerable resources to opposing the White House at every opportunity.  The media is — and has been for some time — a propaganda tool for the left; the country has finally taken notice.

By a thin margin, a recent poll has found that Americans trust President Trump more than they trust the establishment media.  It makes sense, doesn’t it?  From the moment he was nominated, we have seen the media launch vicious attacks against President Trump.  After decades of biased reporting, Americans finally have a President who isn’t intimidated by the elitist news media.

Top Foreign Policy Priorities: Terrorism and Nuclear Weapons

A Gallup poll showed that Americans’ top foreign policy priorities are the spread of nuclear weapons and putting an end to terrorism.  The survey stated that 85% of Americans are concerned about nuclear proliferation and 84% consider international terrorism to be a top issue.

Foreign policy is a major topic for Americans.  One of the reasons President Trump was elected was because of his commitment to keeping America safe.

Palestinian Statehood

Another Gallup Poll showed that Americans are almost evenly split on the issue of the two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians. President Trump recently met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss U.S./Israeli relations.

45% of Americans are for establishing a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  42% oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state.  President Trump has indicated that he desires an outcome that both parties can live with.  During the joint press conference, he put the onus on the Israelis and Palestinians to work towards a viable peace agreement.
