Move over, beef burgers and chicken fingers. Vegetarian “meat” offerings are the latest rage at fast-food restaurants, and a sizable number of Americans are putting them on their tray.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 21% of American Adults have tried one of the sandwiches made with plant-derived products that many fast food chains are now offering. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on September 1-2, 2019 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
