The Biden administration seems willing to pull out all the stops in its bid to ensure that the American public remains in the dark about the mishandling of the migrant crisis at the border. The White House has done everything from blatantly lying to the country about the severity of the situation to preventing reporters from obtaining information about the problem. The administration even went so far as to instruct a sitting U.S. senator to delete pictures taken inside facilities in which migrants are being held.
Barrasso Spills the Beans

Senator John Barrasso
Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) said on April 4 during an appearance on Fox News that he was instructed to delete photos he took when he visited a migrant detention center at the border. He stated that unaccompanied minors were being packed “like sardines” inside the facility. “This is both a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis,” the lawmaker claimed.
“We were told to delete the pictures,” Barrasso explained. “No one did. You’ve seen the video coming out of all of these kids crammed together under the foil blankets, huddling together.”
He added: “This is what the Biden administration is trying to hide from the American public.”
Barrasso also pointed to concerns about COVID-19 and the potential for its spread among migrant children, who are being tested only before they leave Border Patrol’s custody for other government-run facilities. They are not tested again upon arriving at the new building.
“They do the instant test. And then those that have been tested positive are just kind of moved to one side of the courtyard, those negative to the other of this courtyard,” the senator said.
“They’ve all been exposed, and then they’re sent all across the country. You know, that is the real tragedy of this. And we’re not sure what variant of the coronavirus they’re carrying. They are carrying it, though, all around America.”
Another Example of Incompetence
The Biden administration has become the subject of criticism from many on both sides of the political divide. Several lawmakers have slammed the White House’s handling of a migrant crisis that they believe was instigated by the president’s embrace of open-borders policies.
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) recently told Fox News that Border Patrol agrees that the president’s immigration policy is an “utter and total failure.” He was one of several GOP senators who traveled to the border to view the inside of a detention center. Cotton said:
“That’s the thing we consistently heard. If you let them in, more will come. Not shockingly, if you say that minors get into the country or that anyone who shows up with a child under the age of 6 gets into the country, guess what? You get more in this country. It leads to the heartbreaking scenes that we have seen in pictures and videos from my colleagues.”
Even Fox News’ Chris Wallace, who has been quite friendly to the Biden administration, told White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki that even the Trump administration had been more transparent when it came to issues at the southern border. But none of this should be a surprise.
At some point, the truth will come out, and even the highest spin cycle settings will not be enough to protect Biden’s lack of transparency and competence in handling this matter. As it stands today, it is already shaping up to be a black stain on his presidency. But the question remains: How much worse will it get?
