Lectures from Hell XXII: Blaming and Projection

A final lecture summarizing the most important demonic lessons.

Editor’s Note: Recently, Liberty Nation received extraordinary documents from DiaboLeaks containing lectures straight out of hell. They provide unique insight into the inner workings and machinations of devils in infiltrating and corrupting the minds of humans. Each week, we will post a different Lecture from Hell. The demonic influence revealed is shocking. This short parody was inspired by the wonderful work of C.S. Lewis in his entertaining and enlightening epistolary novel, The Screwtape Letters, written in 1942.

My dear gentledevils,

Today will be the last lecture in this semester, and your time as freshdevils will soon be over. Don’t worry, though. You have many years of study ahead of you. Demonic ventriloquism is a death-long journey. I will use this final lecture to summarize what you have learned so far in one last topic: blaming and projection.

Don’t Get Caught

Demons can only influence an unsuspecting mind. The moment your patient suspects your existence, the difficulty of your task increases dramatically. Therefore, we want to divert the attention from our whispers, shift their focus elsewhere. It is especially true when your patient makes a choice that has negative consequences. At that point, you must quickly and decisively suggest that someone else is to blame. The humans call this projection, but the correct name is demonization – the act of turning into a demon. The core of Our Father Below’s message is to view the creator and all His creations as the Enemy.

The darkest diabolic state is achieved through blaming and projection, which is why we encourage it at every opportunity. In this state of mind, the patient never suspects the presence of evil forces.

The Born Good Myth

Since humans are created in the image of the Enemy, making them override and ignore their conscience is hard work and requires much intellectual preparation.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau popularized the “born good” myth. By convincing people to believe that they are pure goodness, we can lure them into not developing their conscience. People who think they’re only good naturally also blame everyone else for their problems. They feel no need to look at the beam in their own eye, which creates a safe space for demons.

Divide and Conquer

But if people believe in fundamental goodness, how then can we trick them into demonizing their enemies? Karl Marx provided us the answer by dividing the world into the oppressors and the oppressed. He endowed the oppressed classes with moral supremacy and likewise imbued the oppressors with only evil qualities.

The result of these two strategies is spectacular. It makes an entire group of people believe that they do not need a conscience because they are born good while demonizing their enemies as irredeemably evil to the core. For every mistake these naïve people make, they always blame it on the evil Other because, being born good, they are incapable of making any moral mistakes. Since they lack a conscience, they perpetually repeat their attempts to create a utopia and blame their victims when it goes wrong.

Evil, I tell you, is a renewable energy source. That is why we will win in the end!

Hubris

The effectiveness of this strategy is greatly enhanced by irrational confidence in one’s own righteousness and abilities. If a human views himself as a morally superior and infallible being, he cannot even conceive the possibility of being influenced by demons. If you manage to bring the human to the exalted state of hubris, he can ignore evidence staring him in the face. That makes your work so much easier and, dare I say, enjoyable.

Numb their Minds

Hubris is, of course, just a particular case of mind-numbing. You can further enhance the effectiveness of blaming and projection by stealing words, thereby removing humans’ ability to think clearly.

Blaming and projection can be viewed as the natural extension of word theft. If you succeed in confusing humans in their words, they are more likely to confuse cause and effect, leaving them vulnerable to blaming and projection. Blaming and projection, in turn, destroys the logical fabric of their minds because they integrate contradictions that eat their brains, turning them into unthinking zombies. It creates a delicious vicious cycle.

Free Will for Thee

The partner to the “born good” myth is the materialistic denial of free will. It is far easier to get someone to blame others if you can make them deny free will. Their actions are then not their own but come from childhood, environmental, social, and genetic factors.

Denying free will also allows them to seize others’ properties without moral qualms because they didn’t build that. Someone else made the roads, schools, etc. However, Karl Marx provided a vital exception to materialism. The only people who always should be attributed free will, and thereby full responsibility for their actions, are the evil Others – the oppressors. How else can one demonize them?

All intellectuals have also secretly smuggled in free will in one other instance, namely to the arrogant intellectual who wants to rule the world. Since all the ordinary people lack free will, they need a superhuman to rule them and tell them what to do: the expert.

The expert always has agency, and he is never wrong. Therefore, he should be given absolute power. If something goes wrong, influence them to blame it on the victims. Anyone who questions an expert should immediately be branded as conspiracy theorists, which, of course, should be demonized.

Victory in Sight!

That concludes this lesson and this first semester at Vile University. To boost your morale, I will end with some secret intelligence from above. You see, it is not only the Enemy who has spies. We, too, have been able to infiltrate the Angelic realm with our agents.

Although most of their communication remains annoyingly invisible to us, sometimes a few messages seep through. I am proud to say that we have learned a secret which the Enemy fears very much! In a glitch, one of our agents could hear the arch-angel Gabriel say that Our Father Below one day will win the great war!

He clued us into what this great weakness that the Enemy fears is. Gabriel said that we would win “when Hell freezes over.” We don’t know what that means, but our foremost experts are currently working on the monumental engineering task. I am happy to say that they report they are on the verge of a breakthrough!

With these uplifting words, I bid you farewell. Victory is near!

Until Hell freezes over,
