As if anyone needed more proof that Vice President Kamala Harris was not the best choice for President Joe Biden! A recent poll revealed that the nation isn’t quite as comfortable with her as the Democrats and activist media would have people believe. It is only six months into Biden’s presidency, and Harris has already managed to demonstrate she might not be fit for the job. What will this mean for the Democrats’ political aspirations?
Poll Reveals What Everyone Already Knows

The Trafalgar Group released the results of a poll gauging American opinions on Harris’ fitness to help lead the country. The responses are not favorable to Democrats. The survey, which asked how confident participants were that “Kamala Harris is ready to be president,” showed that 63.6% of respondents were either “not very confident” or “not confident at all.”
Even more notable is that a whopping 58.6% fell into the “not confident at all” category. Just under one-third (31.6%) of respondents were “very” or “somewhat” confident that Harris was ready to step into the Oval Office. Only 4.8% indicated that they were “not sure.” Ouch.
This particular poll does not paint a flattering picture of the situation in the White House, and it might be an indication that the Biden administration’s honeymoon period is over. This reality can be seen in the breakdown by party affiliation. About 88.4% of Republicans said Harris is not ready to be commander in chief. Nothing surprising there, right?
However, among Democrats, 42.6% did not believe that Harris could adequately fill the role of president. This is not a majority, but it is a significant enough percentage to make Democrats uncomfortable. The percentage of Independents (61.8%) who share the same beliefs about the vice president is also cause for alarm.
This is one of a series of recent polls that indicate Americans are just not into the Biden administration. Mark Meckler, the president of the Convention of States Action, discussed the results of other polls with The Washington Times. He noted that on July 7, a survey was released showing that 56.5% of voters believed that Biden is not “fully executing the duties of his office” and that “others are directing policy and agenda.”
Meckler observed:
“Our last poll found that most Americans don’t believe Joe Biden is actually running the country, and today we’re learning voters think Kamala Harris’ tenure as vice president has been a disaster, and she’s absolutely not ready to step in and take his place.”
Bad News for Democrats
It is not yet clear if Biden will seek another term in 2024, and it is uncertain that he will even serve out his first term. But either way, it seems evident that Democrats will be in quite a pickle when it comes to the next presidential election. If the early performance of this administration is any indication, the poll numbers will likely become worse, as more and more people become disenchanted with the president’s handling of the nation’s problems.
Time and time again, the White House, under Biden’s supposed leadership, has failed to rise to the challenge of running the country. Inflation, the migrant crisis, cozying up to Iran, and out-of-control spending are not exactly ingratiating the president to American voters, many of whom supported him only to get former President Donald Trump out of office. Early signs that the Democrats are in for a shellacking in 2022 and 2024? Perhaps, but only time will tell.
