When it comes to the Russiagate farce, there is one question that keeps coming up again: Who’s investigating the investigators? Attorney General William Barr has an answer to this question, and the Democrats are not going to like it. After he announced the conclusions of the Mueller Report, many on the right questioned whether or not the individuals who prompted the $30 million probe would be subject to scrutiny.
As many have pointed out, the origins of the collusion investigation were questionable at best, and it is possible that individuals in federal law enforcement may have engaged in unethical behavior in order to spark a politically-motivated investigation into President Trump. At a recent congressional hearing, Barr indicated that he would be looking into the matter.

William Barr
Attorney General to Investigate the Investigation
At the hearing, Barr told lawmakers that he was currently taking a deeper look into the investigation. “I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016,” he explained.
That doesn’t sound good for the Deep State, does it? An official serving in the Trump administration told Fox News that Barr had assembled a team to investigate the motivation behind the F.B.I.’s initial probe under the Obama administration.
But that’s not all. Barr also indicated that he would be looking into the surveillance issue that occurred under Obama when the government allegedly spied on the Trump campaign. “I think spying did occur,” Barr said. “The question is whether it was adequately predicated.”
While he did not give details as to any evidence of wrongdoing, he did say that there was “a basis” for concern when it comes to the handling of the Russia investigation.
What Does This Mean?
Conservatives who took issue with the F.B.I.’s role in propagating the Russia collusion hoax have been given a gift from the Attorney General. It wasn’t difficult to see that the investigation was motivated by politics and a visceral animus towards President Trump. Former F.B.I. staffer Lisa Page acknowledged this in her testimony before the House Judiciary Committee last year, stating that the Bureau had only a “paucity” of evidence when the probe was started. Indeed, she confirmed that when former F.B.I. Agent Peter Strzok sent her a text message referencing an “insurance policy,” he was referring to the Russia investigation.
If Barr’s team finds evidence showing there was a political motivation behind the Russia probe, it could have tremendous ramifications for the left. Even if no charges are brought, a revelation such as this would cripple the left’s attempts to keep the hoax alive. More than that, it would expose the fact that government agents used their positions to gin up a collusion narrative in an effort to cause political harm to a sitting president. Needless to say, the Deep State is not happy about this new development. But the question is: what will they do in response?
