Illegals Crime Report – May 23-29

Yet another senseless murder and the manipulation and impregnation of an 11-year-old.

Illegal Immigration is more than just a political talking point; the left seems determined to make us an open-border country no matter the cost. Each week, Liberty Nation recognizes the Americans who must pay it.

Man Stabs Elderly Woman Multiple Times

Houston, TX

Marco Cobos

A Mexican national who had been living in the U.S. illegally for 18 years has been arrested for the murder of a 75-year-old woman, whom he allegedly stabbed more than 13 times with multiple knives.

Marco Cobos, 19, admitted to spending 40 minutes with the elderly victim, Etta Nugent, who reportedly begged for her life. The suspect is homeless and went to Nugent’s house to ask for help to fix his Ford F-150, which was listed as a stolen vehicle. When she told him she couldn’t assist “because of her age,” according to police, Cobos pushed his way into the home and stabbed her in the chest.

According to prosecutors, he then went to the kitchen to get more knives when he heard the doorbell ring and realized Nugent was trying to escape out the front door. Cobos said he went outside and grabbed her in a “bear hug,” then returned to the kitchen for more knives and continued stabbing her until she died.

Cobos seized approximately $550 from her purse, the car keys to her Honda Accord, and three credit cards. He used the money to buy a new battery for the stolen F-150 and food, and the credit cards to pay his cellphone bill and purchase items at a truck stop. The man returned to Nugent’s home to look through her belongings and eat.

Nugent was a mother of three and a grandmother of six. She was a retired parish secretary at Holy Ghost Catholic Church and attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Her son was the one who found her dead in the living room. He’d went to check on her after she didn’t answer her phone and she failed to visit her husband at a convalescent care facility.

“The family of Etta Nugent is heartbroken and in absolute shock at the senseless tragedy that unfolded before them this week,” Nugent’s relatives said in a statement. “Etta was a kind, gentle and generous woman who lived her life with unwavering dedication to her faith, family and friends … To see her life end in such a tragic, evil matter is simply unexplainable.”

Cobos is being held at the Harris County Jail without bond and federal authorities have placed an immigration detainer on him.

Illegal Immigrant Impregnates 11-Year-Old Girl

Phoenix, AZ

Cobo-Perez

A reportedly illegal immigrant, Carlos Jacinto Cobo-Perez, 20, was arrested after allegedly having sex with an 11-year-old girl and impregnating her. The two had been carrying on a relationship for several months at least, and residents want to know why the police did nothing about it when they were first made aware of the crime.

In November, the mother noticed a hickey on the child’s neck and police became involved. Cobo-Perez admitted to the authorities that he had kissed her and was also responsible for the hickey. He told the police he would end the inappropriate relationship, but five months later the girl’s parents discovered she was about six weeks pregnant.

The victim’s stepfather said he’d tried to keep the two of them apart, but “He [Cobo-Perez] kept insisting. She an 11-year-old girl. He’s 20. Almost 21. But he said he already knew what he wanted. He got in her head, and she fell for it easily.”

Friends and neighbors were also witness to the vile relationship and some even described the couple as being in love. “I told him [Cobo-Perez] that’s crazy,” a neighbor said. “He should like try to get away from her because she’s small and he’s older.”

The child’s stepfather said he was working at the time of the arrest, “and to be honest, I wanted to leave work and destroy him.”  He added, “I was mad. I wanted to take care of him myself, and the police said don’t get involved, you’re gonna get yourself in trouble.”

Phoenix police said they are investigating why Cobo-Perez wasn’t arrested when information about the inappropriate relationship was first revealed to authorities. The suspect is behind bars being held on a $150,000 cash bond and is being charged with sexual conduct with a minor.
