Illegal immigration may be a hot topic for politicians running for office, but as Americans, it should be an even greater area of concern. The left is determined to make us an open border country, allowing any and everyone in, no matter their criminal background. That’s why I feel it is important to highlight the serious crimes committed by so many illegal immigrants in this weekly report.
Week of January 25 – 31
This is not an analysis, but rather a report of the more serious crimes committed by illegal aliens. While there may have been many more, hundreds even, arrests of illegal aliens for simple infractions, here we concentrate only on the most dangerous of offenses.

Man Rapes and Impregnates Incapacitated Woman
Phoenix, AZ
This shocking news has buzzed around the media, as people watched in horror while the story unfolded. An incapacitated woman residing in a healthcare facility was raped and impregnated. The fact that she was pregnant was not even discovered until late December, when she went into labor and a nurse had to call for immediate emergency medical assistance.
The suspect is 36-year-old Nathan Sutherland, a licensed practical nurse at Hacienda Healthcare since 2011. Sutherland reportedly attended to the victim on many occasions, which authorities believe gave him numerous opportunities to commit the abuse.
The victim, 29, has been living in the facility since she was three years old due to complications from childhood seizures. Although she is able to make facial gestures, move parts of her body, and respond to sounds, the family said she suffered from “significant intellectual disabilities,” and that her condition includes “severe brain damage, seizure disorder, and psycho-motor retardation.” She was taken to the hospital where she gave birth. Both mother and child are reportedly doing well.
“The important thing is that she is a beloved daughter, albeit with significant intellectual disabilities. She has feelings, likes to be read to, enjoys soft music, and is capable of responding to people she is familiar with, especially family,” relatives explained in a statement.
“She does not speak but has some ability to move her limbs, head and neck,” the family’s attorney said.
When the facility found out about the abuse, all male personnel were required to provide a DNA sample, but Sutherland refused. He finally submitted after receiving a court order, and the sample he provided matched that of the child’s.
Sutherland was arrested and booked into jail on one count of sexual assault and one count of vulnerable adult abuse. His bail was set at $500,000 and if he is able to post bond, he will be placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
“My parent’s split up in Haiti and I remember my mom couldn’t take care of us, so she took us to an orphanage,” Sutherland said in 2011. He claims to be a devout Christian, who toured local churches performing rap songs in the group SLEEPLESSOULJAZ along with his sister.
He is the father of four and, in an odd twist, just recently got divorced from his wife – 24 hours before his victim gave birth.
Officials at Hacienda Healthcare said they are working on improving security measures for their patients, although how a severely handicapped woman, weighing only 112 pounds, could so effectively hide a pregnancy from professional health care providers is a mystery to us all.
