Illegal Crime Report – Sept 13-19

by | Sep 20, 2018 | Columns

Illegal immigration may be a hot topic for politicians running for office, but as Americans, it should be an even greater area of concern. The left is determined to make us an open border country, allowing any and everyone in, no matter their criminal background. That’s why I feel it is important to highlight the serious crimes committed by so many illegal immigrants in this weekly report.

Week of September 13 – September 19

This is not an analysis, but rather a report of the more serious crimes committed by illegal aliens. While there may have been many more, hundreds even, arrests of illegal aliens for simple infractions, here we concentrate only on the most dangerous of offenses.

Antonio Corince

Sexual Abuse of a Child

Boaz, AL

Antonio Corince, 29, was arrested after an investigation of alleged sexual abuse of a child. The Boaz Police Department started the investigation in August after allegations led them to Corince. The accused did come forward after being arrested and made a confession – with the help of a translator.

There is not much more information on this story except that it is confirmed Corince is in the country illegally, but according to the police department, they are unsure where he is from. He is being held in Etowah County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Rusbel Zamorano-Calderon

Man Rapes Own Daughter

El Paso, TX

Rusbel Zamorano-Calderon, 39, is an illegal alien from Mexico who is being charged with three counts of felony rape against his own daughter.

This brilliant felon was caught trying to sneak back into the U.S. by the border patrol, who happened to see some foot prints just east of the Ysleta Port of Entry and decided to follow them. The prints led the patrol to a group of immigrants trying to cross the border illegally. Among them was Zamorano-Calderon. The group of illegals was arrested, and it was during the finger print processing that it was discovered Zamorano-Calderon had been previously deported and was wanted on three counts of raping his 15-year-old daughter in Polk County, TN.

Zamorano-Calderon will be extradited to Polk County to face the rape charges.

 A Look at the Numbers

We’ve been doing these weekly reports for a short time now and we’ve seen the horrible stories of illegal aliens committing atrocious crimes. I thought now would be a good time to delve even a little further and bring out some hard numbers on just how big of a problem illegal immigrant crime is in our country.

The following information comes from the Department of Justice’s quarterly report from June 2018 on alien incarcerations.  It is also important to realize that we do not get the full picture of crimes by aliens because not all states report to the DOJ:

“This report does not include data on the alien populations in state prisons and local jails because state and local facilities do not routinely provide DHS or DOJ with comprehensive information about their inmates and detainees—which account for approximately 90 percent of the total U.S. incarcerated population.”

Kind of scary, isn’t it? Texas, however, does provide a report and the numbers are staggering. The Texas Department of Public Safety publishes criminal alien arrest reports, but they are “limited to criminal alien arrestees who have had prior interaction with DHS resulting in the collection of fingerprints.”

Between June 1, 2011 and April 30, 2018, there were 251,000 criminal aliens booked into local Texas Jails. Take a look at the charges:

  • More than 663,000 criminal offenses.
  • 1,351 homicides.
  • 7,156 sexual assaults.
  • 9,938 weapons charges.
  • 79,049 assaults.
  • 18,685 burglaries.
  • 79,900 drug charges.
  • 815 kidnappings.
  • 44,882 thefts.
  • 4,292 robberies.

“The illegal immigrant crime rate in this country should be zero,” said Attorney General Sessions. “Every crime committed by an illegal alien is, by definition, a crime that should have been prevented. It is outrageous that tens of thousands of Americans are dying every year because of the drugs and violence brought over our borders illegally and that taxpayers have been forced, year after year, to pay millions of dollars to incarcerate tens of thousands of illegal aliens. That is another reason why the Department of Justice under President Trump’s leadership has instituted a zero tolerance policy for illegal entry on our Southwest border. Today’s report is yet another reminder that we must continue this policy and help fulfill President Trump’s goals of restoring lawfulness to our immigration system and ensure that immigration serves the good of this country.”

And for those of us who are concerned about the financial burden to the American people, the DOJ breaks it down. “Approximately 16,233 aliens in USMS custody required housing in state, local, and private facilities, which cost $1,458,372.72 a day.”

Remember to check back next week for the next installment of our Illegal alien crime watch.
