This week, left-wingers became incensed when conservative satirist Allie Stuckey published a satirical video in which she mocked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Democratic Party’s new flavor of the month. The video took footage from Ocasio-Cortez’s humiliating interview on PBS in which she showed a lack of understanding of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and the unemployment rate.
The video went viral with over 1 million views on Facebook. Naturally, the left couldn’t handle the idea of a production poking fun at their new superstar, so they have officially declared “War on Satire We Don’t Like.” In Stuckey’s case, they pretended that the video was meant to fool people into thinking the conservative commentator was actually interviewing Ocasio-Cortez.

Liberty Nation spoke with some key members of the Democratic National Committee and the establishment media to discover how they plan to put a stop to satirical productions that make them look silly.
The Left is Fed Up with Satire Mocking Them
To be clear, the left does not have a problem with all satire. We spoke with Andre Middleton, a staffer for the DNC. He said, “Satire in and of itself isn’t bad. But when it makes fun of people we like, it goes way too far and must be destroyed.” We asked Middleton how the Democrats plan to defeat conservative satire. “Well, we’re going to use the same strategy we used against Allie Stuckey,” he said, “We’re going to tell everyone that her video was fake news.”
After being asked if this strategy was dishonest, he balked. “I mean, it’s not all that far from the truth, is it? 90% of Americans are too dumb to understand satire, so it’s not too farfetched to think that most people would think the video was real!”
Leftist Media Outlets Attack Satirical Sites
Middleton indicated that the party would also target other conservative satirists. “You see what they publish on the Babylon Bee?” he asked. “Those articles are dangerous. I just saw one claiming that a coffee shop in Santa Barbara was designated as a sanctuary space for straws! What if droves of people gathered to the shop to use straws and people died?”
Samuel Branson, a producer at CNN, stated that the media would also do their part to combat right-leaning satirists. “The War on Satire We Don’t Like is about preventing Americans from laughing at our ridiculous arguments,” he said, “We’re already under pressure because the president doesn’t let us unfairly attack him without striking back at us. It’s so brutal.”
Branson stated that media outlets like The Washington Post and The New York Times would also join in the fight. “They’re going to start fact-checking sites like The Babylon Bee, and videos created by conservative comedians like Steven Crowder,” he said, “I saw a video of Crowder dressed up as Bob Ross painting an image of the Prophet Muhammad. Do you know how many people probably saw that video and thought that Ross had come back to life and decided to paint religious figures? It’s horrible!”
What Is The Motivation Behind The Satire War?
Laura Jansen, a staffer for The Washington Post, told Liberty Nation why they want to destroy conservative satire. “In our opinion, the only satire that Americans should be watching is The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, and The Break with Michelle Wolf,” she said, “These shows depict the truth about our politics and anything that opposes our narrative should be banned.”
When Stuckey’s video became popular, multiple left-leaning news sites published pieces attacking her, but Facebook did not remove the video. So, the left brought out the big guns. The Washington Post published a piece titled “After a fake interview of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went viral, its maker said it was satire,” implying that the video was meant to trick its viewers.
“Between you and me, we all know that the video was satire and that very few people thought it was serious,” Jansen said, “But we felt that it was getting more popular than should be allowed for a right-leaning video. So we decided to lie and accuse her of creating fake news.”
Unfortunately for the left, their strategy didn’t work. Facebook never removed the video and people are still laughing at Ocasio-Cortez. It appears “The War on Satire We Don’t Like” is off to a bad start. Oh well, better luck next time!
