House Intel Chairman Drops Bombshell on Surveillance of Trump

Two days after the establishment media trumpeted the remarks of FBI Director James Comey before the House Intelligence Committee as full and final proof that President Trump’s claim that his “wires were tapped” by former President Obama was unfounded, Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) dropped a bombshell proving Trump’s claim has merit.

Nunes announced that he has received new, credible information that Trump and members of his transition team were caught up in “incidental” communications with a foreign nation following the presidential election.

“I recently confirmed that on numerous occasions the intelligence community … collected information about U.S. citizens involved in the Trump transition,” said Nunes.

Nunes said he believes the surveillance was legal.  But the subsequent unmasking of Trump transition officials involved in those conversations clearly was not legal, suggesting intelligence operatives within the Obama administration may have committed felonies punishable by up to ten years in prison.  Such unmasking first came to light through previous revelations about the felonious release of transcripts from a conversation(s) between Michael Flynn, Trump’s National Security Advisor, and the Russian Ambassador during the transition.

Nunes added that the surveillance to which he referred was not related to Russia or the ongoing, seven-month long investigation by the FBI into possible collusion between Russian interests and the Trump campaign to rig the presidential election.

But while Comey confirmed at Monday’s hearing that his agency has been investigating the Trump campaign since July of 2016 and had yet to collect any proof of collusion between Trump and Russia, he refused to confirm of deny that his agency has or will conduct an investigation into the felonious unmasking of Flynn, which stands as the one undeniable crime committed in this entire affair.

Shortly after the announcement by Nunes, Trump told a reporter he felt “somewhat” vindicated by the revelations.

You can be certain that today’s announcement is just the start of a pushback by the Trump administration against the Democrats, the deep state opposition to his presidency and an establishment media far more interested in pursuing the Trump-Russia “connection” than seriously examining the very serious claims by Trump against Barack Obama, the storyline of which has now undergone a one hundred and eighty degree turn.

Much more to follow.
