It looks like the suspects connected to the radical Islamist compound in New Mexico will not be getting off so easy after all. The F.B.I. arrested the five adults who are suspected of killing a 3-year-old child and training their other children to become terrorists.
The Bureau detained these individuals for “violating federal firearms and conspiracy laws.” The arrests took place only days after three of the suspects were released. In a statement, they announced:
“The defendants, Jany Leveille, 35, a Haitian national illegally present in the United States, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Hujrah Wahhaj, 37, Subhanah Wahhaj, 35, and Lucas Morton, 40, are charged in a criminal complaint that was filed earlier today in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico…”
Arrested and Released
The authorities originally discovered the compound while investigating the disappearance of Abdul-Ghani, a 3-year-old child kidnapped from his Georgia home by his father, Siraj Wahhaj. The investigation led law enforcement to the compound, where they found the boy’s remains – and 11 other children who, while still alive, were living in poor conditions.
After raiding the compound, the police discovered that along with being horribly abused, the children were also being trained to carry out terrorist attacks in America. Wahhaj and the other adults were training them to commit school shootings and other types of violence against Americans. One of the kids stated that he had been taught to use an AR-15 firearm.
Judge Backus, who is described as a lifelong Democrat, did not keep the suspects in custody because, apparently, the prosecution’s request to keep these individuals detained was made because they are “black and Muslim” and not “white and Christian.”
District Judge Emilio Chavez later dismissed the charges against three of the defendants, stating that the prosecution had “missed the 10-day limit for an evidentiary hearing to establish probable cause.”Siraj Wahhaj
Dangerous Leftist Ideology
If you didn’t already believe that leftist ideology is a threat, this story reveals the truth. The notion that suspects in a case in which children were being groomed to perpetrate radical Islamic terrorist attacks would be released because of political correctness is disturbing.
In this case, no evidence of religious or racial bias existed, but Judge Backus still chose to set these individuals free. Indeed, it appears that she simply manufactured the supposed bigotry to justify her decision. The left’s bizarre fixation on racism and Islamophobia drives them to defend the indefensible. But their ideology is not one that would keep Americans safe.
What if these individuals had decided to carry out an attack after being released? It is likely that they knew they would be arrested again – perhaps desperation could have driven them to kill as many Americans as possible.
This story should serve as a warning to us all. There are those in power who would use their offices to protect destroyers of lives – all to make a political point. Their misguided sense of social justice blinds them to the reality that, while the majority of Muslims are not violent, many are – and it is imperative that the public refuse to allow political correctness to shield individuals like these.
