It’s both astonishing and horrifying to think that a law would need to be created to ban the use of child sex robots, but there was no prohibition against it until this week when the U.S. House approved the CREEPER Act. The Curbing Realistic Exploitative Electronic Pedophilic Robots Act, or the appropriately titled CREEPER Act prohibits the sale or transportation of these disgusting aids for encouraging child molestation and rape.
“Once an abuser tires of practicing on a doll, it’s a small step to move on to a child. My bill takes necessary steps to stop these sickening dolls from reaching our communities,” said Congressman Dan Donovan (R-NY), the author of the bill. “We must protect children from those who wish them harm.”
The Reality of Child Sex Dolls
What makes the existence of these “dolls” even more sickening, is that they can be custom-designed to resemble real children with specific hair and eye color and even facial features. Synthetic eyelashes and other accessories such as wigs and warming devices can be included with purchase. The customer could essentially send the manufactures a picture of a child they’d like to have sex with so that they could play out their sick fantasy on the child robot. Some of the robotic designs include the ability to hold small conversations based on the owner’s moods.
And where do these lovely tools for practicing pedophiles come from? They are imported from China, Hong Kong, and Japan. Usually, the robots are listed as mannequins so as to not raise the alarm during shipping and transportation.
A Preventative Tool or a Gateway Drug?
Not surprisingly, there are some social scientists out there that claim these dolls actually reduce the amount of child molestation because the ‘urge’ is satiated with the robots.
“To the contrary, these dolls create a real risk of reinforcing pedophilic behavior and they desensitize the user causing him to engage in sicker and sicker behavior,” said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte.
Representative Donovan added that, “of the 128 dolls seized in the UK, 85% percent of the men who imported them were also found in possession of child pornography.”
The dolls can be customized to express specific facial expressions such as fear or sadness. They can be programmed to simulate rape and, according to the bill:
The dolls and robots not only lead to rape, but they make rape easier by teaching the rapist about how to overcome resistance and subdue the victim.
The proposed law also claims some owners and manufacturers of the child sex robots force their own children to interact with the artificial intelligence, treating them as if they were actual living, breathing members of their families.
The CREEPER Act has gained some ground, but it still needs to go to the Senate for consideration. What is there to consider? These disgusting tools of the pedophile need to be banned, no questions asked. Hopefully, the Senate won’t spend too much time debating the issue and will move quickly so that these horrifying robots can legally be confiscated.
