#1 Did Mueller Leave A Trap For Trump?

By Graham J. Noble

Stating that his report did not exonerate Trump of obstruction was unnecessary, so why did Mueller do it?

As everyone waits for special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on his Russia investigation to be made available, all attention is on the four-page letter by Attorney General William Barr summarizing Mueller’s conclusions. While the special counsel found no evidence that President Donald Trump or anyone associated with him conspired or cooperated with Russians, Democrats have seized upon one specific sentence in the letter. Mueller’s motive for including this particular sentence in his report is worth analyzing, since it will surely mold the way the president’s enemies use the report once they receive it.

The attorney general’s summary quotes the special counsel as saying: “While this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” The statement applies specifically to the question of whether President Trump obstructed justice. Mueller came to this conclusion after a “thorough factual investigation,” as Barr’s summary quotes the report. Read More.

#2 Smollett Charges Dropped – What Does This Mean For Justice?

By Sarah Cowgill

Controversial call on Jussie’s case more curious than the actor’s unusual hate crime.

The swift hammer of justice once again missed the nail in Illinois as all charges against Empire actor Jussie Smollett have been dropped.  Smollett was arrested in February on 16 felony counts for perpetrating a hate crime hoax and filing false reports to police.

It was a stunning decision because in most cases the minimum condition for dropping charges is some acceptance of responsibility. The Cook County prosecutors’ office did not elaborate. A county prosecutor stated in court before asking for the dismissal, “We believe this outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution to this case.”

Not to be left out of the press coverage, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office sent an email declaring that it took into account Smollett’s great history of community service and felt this decision was the best outcome.

But not everyone was in a celebratory mood, specifically because Chicago Police Department Superintendent Eddie Johnson was not informed that charges were being dropped. Johnson is planning to speak publicly on the situation after the police academy graduation. Read More.

#3 AG Barr: The Letter, The Clues – READ IN FULL

By Liberty Nation Staff

When the starving media catch sight of crumbs, it is all they can do not to make a full meal of them.

Little is known right now regarding the contents, the implications, or the conclusions of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that was delivered to the DOJ yesterday, March 22. Whilst many suspect leaks will be forthcoming even before Attorney General Barr submits his report to Congress, the main source of information being dissected by the carrion eaters of the swamp is the letter from William Barr to House and Senate judiciary leaders.

When the starving media catch sight of crumbs, it is all they can do not to make a full meal of them.

Spin comes and goes, partisanship often wins out, but we at Liberty Nation believe you should make up your own mind based on the raw facts. Here we present AG William Barr’s letter in full and without edit. Read More.

#4 Christianity NOT A Religion Of Peace Say UK Bureaucrats

By Leesa K. Donner

Christianity a peaceful religion? Not according to the UK government.

An asylum request from an Iranian Christian has been rejected by British bureaucrats. The unidentified man said he converted to Christianity because it is a peaceful religion. This, however, did not sit well with the agency in the U.K. that deals with immigration, crime and police, known as the Home Office.

Stevens said he was “shocked” by the strident nature of his client’s asylum rejection.

Converting from Islam to Christianity is an act that can get you killed in Iran, where freedom of religion does not exist. As a matter of fact, a religious conversion such as this man’s is punishable by death in the Islamic state. But the British Home Office strongly disagreed with the applicant’s reasoning for adopting his new spiritual path, flatly stating that Christianity is not a religion of peace. Read More.
