When will the immigration activists wake up and see we have a severe problem? Another criminal illegal alien – prior deportations and felony convictions and all – has been arrested for viciously stabbing a man, yet still, we have those who practically demand amnesty for all immigrants.
Ricardo Velasquez-Romero, 39, is accused of an “unprovoked and brutal stabbing” after allegedly walking up to a 61-year-old man in a California restaurant and stabbing him in the neck.
Velasquez-Romero, who is also known as Eulalio Miniz Orozco, is an illegal alien and convicted felon who has been deported not once, not twice, but seven times since 2007.
Vicious Attack
According to reports, on Dec. 21, Velasquez-Romero and the victim had been sitting at different tables at Lola’s Market in Santa Rosa. The two were not seen talking to each other at any point. For whatever reason, Velasquez-Romero walked over to the table and stabbed the victim once in the neck with an unknown weapon before fleeing on foot.
Fortunately, the convicted felon was apprehended and charged with attempted murder. The victim, at the time of this article, was listed in critical condition. ICE has taken an interest in this case and “placed a detainer on the suspect with the Sonoma County Jail, indicating a desire to take custody of him when released from local custody, and continues to closely monitor the legal proceedings of Mr. Velasquez.”
Illegal Migrant Crime
This is not the first instance of an illegal immigrant committing a lethal crime. In 2015, Jose Ines Garcia Zarate from Mexico, shot and killed Kathryn Steinle – also in California, the state that has become the first in the nation to declare itself a sanctuary state. Zarate claimed it was an accident because the illegal gun he was playing with illegally went off and a stray bullet ricocheted and struck Steinle. This model illegal inhabitant got away with murdering an American citizen.
A federal grand jury was not pleased with the outcome and has charged Zarate with being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and being an “illegally present alien,” according to Fox news. The public pretender – er, defender – claims the charges are discriminatory.
A new attorney for the Zarate’s defense team (probably at the tax payer’s expense!), Tony Serra, shamed everyone but the illegal felon who committed the crime.
“Shame on the federal government, shame on the Trump administration. Shame on them in terms of bringing a retaliatory, vindictive prosecution,” Serra said. “So we will take those issues on.”
Well, shame on Serra and people like him who put an illegal felon’s well-being and ill-gotten privileges above their own countrymen’s. Innocent lives being disrupted, destroyed and even struck down does not seem to phase these people. What will, Money?
The Bigger Picture
As Liberty Nation reported, just in California illegal immigrants cost the state $4.4 billion each year in crime. Yet, local politicians decided it was in their best interest to harbor these criminals and allow them to continue tormenting their constituents.
It’s time to stop those who care more for political correctness and false self-righteousness than they do for the lives of innocent, hardworking, productive members of society who obey the rules and take the steps necessary to become legal citizens of our once great nation. And the only way to do this is to rigorously enforce immigration law and protect our borders.
