Study Makes Faulty Racism Claims, Media Pushes Narrative Anyway

A recent study suggests that the majority of white individuals are highly racist against young black girls.  As it turns out, the results were flawed, but the establishment media has fanned the flames of this faulty study, turning up the heat of racial tension. Thus, details of the experiment are worth examining to remove the detrimental misinformation disseminated by these scientists and the establishment media.

The study, published by Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality, participants were randomly assigned to assess the development of young black or white girls through a survey containing the questions:

How often do Black [or white] females take on adult responsibilities?

How much do Black [or white] females seem older than their age?

How much do Black [or white] females need to be supported?

How much do Black [or white] females need to be comforted?

How independent are Black [or white] females?

How knowledgeable are Black [or white] females about sex?

For each survey question, participants had five possible answer choices: not at all, a little, undecided, somewhat, or a great deal.  After analyzing the data, the researchers concluded that the participants viewed young black women as more independent and knowledgeable about adult topics than white women.

Beginning as early as 5 years of age, black girls were more likely to be viewed as behaving and seeming older than their stated age; more knowledgeable about adult topics, including sex; and more likely to take on adult roles and responsibilities than what would have been expected for their age.

According to the Georgetown scientists, the study’s conclusions hint significant implications for the juvenile justice system.  Per the study, young black women are twenty percent more likely than white females to be juvenile delinquents.  The researchers published the reason for the delinquency rates to be that society holds young black women more responsible for their actions compared to white females by viewing black women as more independent and knowledgeable about adult topics.

A firestorm took to the establishment media supporting without question the findings by Georgetown University researchers.  One headline by Vox regarding the findings stated, “A new study shows even 5-year olds can’t escape racism.”  The reaction by the establishment media should come as no surprise, however, as neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart from a previous article by Liberty Nation explained that journalists have a subpar aptitude for analytical thinking and regulation of biases and emotions.

The responses by the study’s participants were not indicative of societal racism.  Is stating that young black girls are more independent and knowledgeable about adult topics an insult and indicative of racism towards black individuals, as the study suggests?  To most readers, perceiving little girls as “older than their age” is a compliment and implies maturity and independence, which are critical characteristics for achieving success.  One must wonder how the researchers and establishment media would have reported the findings had participants answered that young black girls are less independent and knowledgeable compared to young white girls.  It appears that regardless of the study’s conclusions, the establishment media and Georgetown University researchers would have declared racism.

Being that the establishment media and scientists of the Georgetown study are not in the business of truth-telling, Liberty Nation will examine possible reasons for the study’s data.  About three-quarters of the participants were white.  It is possible that participants felt the need to respond that young black girls are independent and knowledgeable about adult topics to avoid being labeled racists?

Another possibility for the study’s data is that participants believed black girls to be more knowledgeable and independent due to the high number of black children living in single parents homes.  That is not to say that all black children live in single-parent homes, but participants may assume that children are less supervised and thus more likely to achieve independence and knowledge on adult topics when living in single parent households.

Being that the Georgetown researchers misconstrued their study’s findings to be the direct result of arrests and school suspensions of black girls, many young black women may feel alone in the world and subject to mass discrimination.  From researchers who are meant to deliver trustworthy information, the Georgetown scientists may cause long-term distrust among races if the study’s false results continue to spread.
