Who are you? Here at Liberty Nation, we get asked that question a lot. So here is the unvarnished truth.
We are the persecuted, the marginalized, and most often disparaged Americans. A few decades ago we would have been considered ordinary citizens. Today, we have been labeled every name in the book by the left. In the words of our former president, some of us cling to our guns and religion, others to their guns – the religion part, not so much. But we all cling to the US Constitution.
We are white, black, Hispanic, young, and old. And we are conservative, libertarian and populist; some of us are rank-and-file conservatives, while others are Republicans who do not follow the straight party line. Some of us aren’t in a party at all, and find our beliefs focused solely on individual liberty. We are edgy – but seek to encourage intelligent, compelling dialogue. We do not suffer loonies and haters, but we encourage wise and perceptive readers to visit, engage in civil discourse and let freedom ring.
We recognize that the Fourth Estate in the United States has increasingly turned hard left and there are very few places we can go to let our voices be heard. So, we analyze, comment and report on the issues of the day without the filters of the elite, left-leaning establishment media.
Liberty Nation is the new kid on the block in the freedom movement. We hope to inspire and encourage other such sites. We are not afraid of the competition and would consider our mission accomplished should more like-minded websites begin to grow and flourish.
As well, many of our writers are new, young, fresh and bold. Occasionally you’ll see a prominent name among our contributors, but our goal is to open up our readership to a new generation of thought from the free market movement. There are plenty of places to read the old guard – we want to offer you something new.
We are a project of One Generation Away, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. And we are true to the OneGen organizational mission: to apply America’s founding principles to the issues of today. We do not endorse political candidates. We do not endorse specific legislation. But we offer our commentary, analysis and opinions – the good, the bad and the ugly — on all things related to the American political discourse.
We consider ourselves genuine patriots — the kind of people who get chills when fireworks go off on the Fourth of July, who reflexively stand up when the National Anthem is played and believe America is still the greatest nation on earth. And we believe this nation is filled with others like us who have not been afforded the opportunity to be heard.
At its core, we believe America is still the land of the free and home of the brave.
Below are listed the principals of Liberty Nation. We invite you to read our website, comment often, submit articles for publication and pass the word that there now exists a place for intelligent liberty-minded folks to call home.
If you’d like to submit an article for consideration please visit our Submission page.
